Personas
In order to better understand customer and user needs I conducted an indepth research effort to identify unique use cases, this findings directed us to 4 key user personas.
Persona Discovery & Creation
The overall UX research effort exposed eight distinct personas that were either directly or indirectly using or being affected by our SynapSense software product. 4 of those user personas were going to benefit from the new mobile app. Persona 1: “Many Hats Mike” - This user is responsible for all functions of a small data center, and responsible to take first action when alerts occur. Persona 2.“Engaged Operator” - In larger data centers this is the user at the forefront of the operation preventing any undesired event from occurring inside the white space of a data center. Persona 3: “Team Manager” - This is the individual responsible for the whole data center operation and second escalation tear. Persona 4: “Decision Influencer” - This individual is responsible for the overall performance of one or multiple sites. Providing this level of visibility to him means a greater trust in his team and ability to act if all other tears were exhausted. Keeping this user happy ensures a continuation of our business and product retention.
